Alexandria VA auto repair

After one of my wheels cracked, I needed to replace it. Using a set of fitted spare tires that I provided, they were able to swap out the broken wheel and the other side's for the two wheels/tires that I brought in. Easy to do job, but was super grateful as they took me in late on Saturday and had the car ready for me within the hour. Special thanks to Glori for the help on the phone and in person.

Over the years I’ve lived in Alexandria, Yates Automobile has always taken good care of my car. Whenever I’ve had a last minute crisis like a flat tire or a need a routine oil change or state inspection, they are able to accommodate me into their schedule. As a Deaf customer, I appreciate that it’s easy to request an appointment online though their website, and that all people I’ve met with are willing to write or text with information to help me make an informed decision about the issues, estimates on materials and labor, and timeline. The fact that their garage is next to Braddock metro makes it easy to drop off my car and go to work. No complaints at all. Will continue to use them for my car.

I needed to replace two rear tires on our Toyota Highlander. Before I ordered and paid for the two rear tires, I was told that I would need to bring the car back the next morning because those tires needed to be delivered. I was pleasantly surprised at 2:30pm on the same day when I got a phone call from Yates saying the tires were delivered and the mechanic had time to replace them that afternoon! Less than an hour later I had two new tires on our SUV. My husband and I were pleased - and well-prepared for the incoming snow expected in a few days. We go to Yates Automotive regularly because their work is consistently of excellent quality, and their manner is always prompt and professional. Women customers receive the same positive respect that men receive. Yates Automotive hires nice people!

New to the area and really happy to find a local car repair shop that's been been around awhile. Very appreciative of Nixon arranging for them to drive me home while they repaired my brakes. Wasn't expecting a free car wash when I picked it up. Nice touch! Highly recommend.

When I searched for auto repair shops in Alexandria I had no idea there were so many. Tried this one since it's been around a long time. Great customer service. Got an inspection done. Fast !
