Alexandria VA auto repair

We were visiting from out of town and needed last minute service. We received fast, friendly, professional service at Yates and we are on the road again.

Was headed to DC from Richmond for an event at the Kennedy Center when the both tires blew due to pot hole. Found Yates on line. They were a life saver ordered the tires and gave us a car to take into the District at no cost. Jeff and staff were simply amazing and top notch professional. Made the show on time and all was well with the world !!!!!

About a month ago, December 2018, I stopped in at Yates to get a punctured tire repaired. They fixed it and I was in and out in about a half hour, even though I walked in without an appointment and it was the end of the day. Today I stopped in again because another tire had suffered a puncture. Unfortunately this puncture was too close to the edge of the tire and could not be repaired safely. I stopped today to have a bulb replaced in my headlight. Jessica and Rick did a fantastic job in assisting me with this, and Rick performed the work quickly. Thank you for their great service.

Yates has come through for us more times than I can count. We recently were stuck with a dead battery, and Yates graciously sent over one of their expert technicians to jump start the car and take it to Yates for whatever work was required. The battery needed to be replaced, and Yates took care of it promptly and with the courtesy and professionalism that I have come accustomed to in my years of using them. I have referred several friends and neighbors to Yates, and will continue to do so. These guys are the best!

The Best Automotive Garage around for Customer service, (they knew their Stuff,) I've towed alot of Motor club Customers there from all over Virginia, Md,DC, and they've fixed them quickly. Rarely see a Car sitting there for longer that a week. They warranty their work too.

I recently moved to Alexandria from DC and needed a local auto shop for a simple turn signal repair. I could not have been luckier to find Rick and Mike's shop, Yates Automotive! I often dread these situations because of time, cost , or pressure to fix other issues I've dealt with in the past. This place is the exact opposite of a nightmare auto repair shop. From the phone call to enquire if they could fix my might (they told me to bring it over at my convenience and they would see to it right away), through the efficient and friendly repair, all the way to the helpful recommendations on a separate question, these guys were amazing. Immediate service, no pressure for other repairs, and friendly conversation. The price was incredible too! If there were and exceptional 10 star option on yelp, this place would get it.

Excellent service! Brought my car in to get a battery replaced at 6:30pm. Thought I'd have to leave it overnight. I was home with a new battery within 30 minutes. And they thanked ME for my patience in having to wait. Thanks for making it such a fast replacement!
