Alexandria VA auto repair

After the heavy rain one afternoon, my car and I limped into Yates Automotive as the water had loosen the service flap and it was dragging on the payment. I went to Yates because the lady that helped me on the street recommended them. Wow, these folks are so nice! Kept my car overnight, fixed my car and didn't charge me at all. I don't even live in Alexandria, my son does. What a great service oriented company!

I took my car in for a hand wash & vacuum. There was some confusion or misunderstanding and they performed a full exterior detail on the car. The quality of the detail was excellent and the car looks great, but it was a problem because more work was performed than I wanted done. I brought the issue to the manager's attention and they resolved it promptly and without a hassle. I plan to take the car back for additional maintenance work in the future.

This morning I noticed a screw in my tire. I pulled into Yates fully expecting a tire patch to cost at least $50 or a new tire to cost hundreds more. I explained my problem to Ken, the manager, and he came to investigate the situation. He tested the tire twice and then explained that they would be able to patch the tire. A technician quickly patched the tire and put air in my tire. The cost: FREE. And the whole ordeal took less than ten minutes and I was able to keep my baby sleeping in the back seat! Thanks for the great service!!!

Re oil change: everyone was very professional and respectful and I appreciated recommendation from my questions. Will definitely return.

I was in communication about the service I needed prior to my appointment. Everything they told me they would do, was done and done correctly the fist time. While I think their gas price is high, the pricing of their their service work is very much in line with competitors and the work is done well.

One of the best auto service experiences I’ve ever had!! The manager was so kind! We moved from out of state and needed an inspection and emissions test. Their price was very reasonable, and they gave us a couple vouchers to go get a drink from the nearby 7-11 while we waited. They even attached our front tag holder and tags for free!! These guys understand customer service! They’ve definitely won a repeat customer.

Excellent service. In and out of the station in less than 15 minutes. No hard sell for air filters or windshield wipers. Courteous service providers. Plus, I received a free car wash.

I submitted a not so glowing review a few days ago and have since spoken with Ken, the general manager, and all is well now! I appreciated his great customer service and he seemed genuinely interested about my concerns and what I had to say. Thanks again Ken!

I am new to the area and have luckily found Yates Automotive. I had a brake issue unsolved by others, but Yates's folks diagnosed the problem immediately. They are always polite, courteous, and most importantly competent. Us non-mechanically inclined types are always at the mercy of automotive repairmen and their con jobs, I do not feel that way with Yates -- I believe them to be an honest and earnest family run business. Keep up the good work.
